1999 Volvo V70 was having ABS activation on dry paved roads. No dash lights. Discovered rusty tone ring. After replacing the ring on LF axle the brakes are working fine but the ABS and check engine lights appeared. Cleared ABS code 0011. I now can’t start the car – runs momentarily then dies – and I now have code ECM 720A Immobilizer Faulty Communication. Tried to clear that but it just keeps coming back. Removed and cleaned contact to immobilizer ring. No change. What would cause resetting of codes to activate immobilizer? What do I need to do to get this sucker to run again! HEEELLP!
